Very nice hotel, friendly staff and a place to park your bike in the heart of Amsterdam. Very close to Aran Irish Pub, Hard Rock café Amsterdam, Leidseplein and other nice places to be. The hotel has a big paved garden where 'ordinary' bikes can be parked (the garden gate isn't wide enough for handlebars of a big adventure bike) Book straight from here: http://www.booking.com/hotel/nl/vossius-vondelpark.nl.html?aid=358874&label=vossius-hotel-amsterdam
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinderdijk: Kinderdijk is a village in the Netherlands, belonging to the municipality of Molenwaard, in the province South Holland, about 15 km east of Rotterdam. Kinderdijk is situated in a polder in the Alblasserwaard at the confluence of the Lek and Noord rivers. To drain the polder, a system of 19 windmills was built around 1740. This group of mills is the largest concentration of old windmills in the Netherlands. The windmills of Kinderdijk are one of the best-known Dutch tourist sites. They have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997.
The Pub & Churchill is a world famous British institution, always on the must visit list of any tourist guide of the United Kingdom. Pub derives from Public House and we hope you will feel at home in our house when you visit us as we have now brought this British institution to Made. In addition to the traditional beers, spirits and wines, guests can enjoy a classic pub menu of fish and chips, steak and ale pie, typical English breakfast and some popular Dutch choises such as chargrilled steak available all day.
Built by the French army in 1804, this landmark in the heart of the Netherlands is modeled after the Pyramid of Khufu in Egypt. Just a few years after its construction, the name was changed to commemorate Napoleon's victory in the 1806 Battle of Austerlitz.

Large park surrounding a lake - quite nice place to relax. Nice place to stop by (there is a parking nearby) and take a walk around. It's a bit strange since it is almost in a center of Rotterdam but when you are there you don't hear the sound of busy city and you can relax and enjoy the nature. It the summer (well... Dutch summer isn't too warm) you can swim and take a sunbath. On the north of lake you have a pier and from it you have a great view of Rotterdam skyline. There are two typical Dutch windmills near lake.
